An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure

Just because your pet is not showing clear signs of illness, they must be healthy, right?  Wrong!  Dogs are excellent at hiding pain and discomfort, and the only sign you'll see when your cat is seriously ill is that they are hiding and sleeping bit more than usual.  It is estimated that 70% of pets over 3 years of age in the United States have undiagnosed disease that could be found, treated, and either cured or at least better managed if they saw their vet for a routine exam.
"Pets don't complain.  They just take the hand they're dealt and run with it.  They show very few signs of illness, so their families don't realize the situation until things are really advanced"  - Dr. Callahan
Illnesses and medical conditions we routinely manage for our patients include:
  • Allergies and Atopy
  • Ear infections
  • Vomiting and Diarrhea
  • Skin conditions
  • Cushing's and Addison's Disease
  • Behavioral issues
  • Thyroid disease
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Seizure disorders
  • Cancer
  • Weight management
  • Many others!

Common Sense Care

Of course, not every pet is experiencing an illness, and that is a great thing!  We love seeing healthy pets for routine and preventative care.  We offer a common sense approach to health management for your pet, with primary consideration given to the issues that pets in our community actually deal with frequently.  Not every pet needs every vaccine, and we will help you figure out what makes the most sense for your pets and your family.
