Laboratory Services

Our eyes, ears, and hands can only tell us to much.  A valuable extension of any physical exam is often lab work - whether it be tests on blood, stool, skin, fur - you name it - sometimes lab testing is required and very beneficial.  For chronic conditions like Thyroid disease, Epilepsy, and Diabetes, routine testing is the best way to keep your pet healthy.

We maintain a full suite of in-house testing equipment that we can use to analyze your pet's samples and get results back in minutes rather than days.  Blood, stool, urine, and needle biopsy testing can all be run on the same day if needed to be able to get answers quickly.  

Sometimes our patients need more specialized testing, and that's when referral laboratories come in to play.  When it comes to referral lab testing, it's all about who you know and how fast you can get results back.  We work with not one, but two different national labs, and have access to nearly every other University lab in the country.  We have dedicated courier pickups from multiple laboratories every evening that transfer your pet's samples directly to the testing facility.  We get results back not in a week, but in a matter of a few days in most cases.
